Joey Meen  - CEO 

Alice Wring – Marketing Director

​​With over 28 years of hands on experience with the training needs of yacht crew, starting her career in yachting in 1990 running an RYA school in the UK before arriving in France in 2002 to work in the training department at Freedom Yachting in Antibes for a further 3 years before setting up her own business ASKJOEY in 2005.
Joey has been involved on the front line of the yacht training regulations since 2004 on the MCA Yacht Qualification Panel, part of the IAMI Small Craft working group and heads the Continuous Professional Development Workgroup for the PYA. Joey is actively involved with representing the “crew” on all aspects of future training and regulatory standards.
Having been a major part of the initial consultation group with development of the RYA Personal Watercraft Safety Course for superyachts in 2004, and then the PYA/RYA Superyacht Tender Operations Course in 2015; Joey is well versed in creating the learning platforms and implementing training requirements from listening to the feedback from crew on gaps in the current training provision.
Joey took the lead on the GUEST initiative in 2010 and is committed to be the continuous backbone of the project. And continues to managing the administration and marketing of GUEST, and working with the workgroup of trainers, professionals and crew to ensure that the value and standards of the GUEST Program are upheld and maintained for the future of training in the Interior Department.
Joey offers continuous advice and guidance with the regulations for crew, and works closely with MCA, RYA and PYA on behalf of Deck, Engineering & now Interior training structures and career planning.

Born in the UK but having spent most of her life in France, Alice completed two degrees in Literature and Human Resource Management, and began her early career in HR, before turning to the field of marketing within the yachting industry.

She worked for several years in marketing and events at the Professional Yachting Association and as a Charter Broker for a yacht brokerage company before joining Joey to assist in the development of the G.U.E.S.T Program.

Alice is passionate about the yachting industry and the exciting opportunities it provides, and believes that GUEST is an excellent platform for crew to develop their career in the interior department, teaching them the skills and providing them with the confidence to offer 7 Star Service to the world’s most discerning VVIPs.

Andy Crawford - Chairman 

Captain Andy Crawford AFNI, is the  Chairman for the GUEST Steering Committee, with a focus on leading the GUEST Program into the next exciting phase.
Andy has many roles within the maritime sectors, including being the Business Manager for IAMI (International Association of Maritime Institutions). Among other responsibilities, IAMI manages the Large Yacht Examination system.
Andy has also recently been appointed to the new role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the PYA.  His considerable experience as a Ship Master, Marine Pilot and senior manager will be invaluable as he leads the PYA through this period of transition. As CEO, he will be a member of the Board and will report on operational and management matters and handle the day to day running of the PYA, supported by the dynamic team in the PYA office in Antibes.
